3 held for minor’s rape

Bhandara: A minor girl from Amgav Dighori village in Bhandara district was allegedly raped by two youths from the village. The complaint was lodged by parents of the rape survivor at Kardha rural police station on Thursday. Police have arrested Vasant Rehepade (27), Pravin Rehepade and a 15-year-old boy who allegedly helped the two accused.The incident occurred in the morning when the 15-year-old girl was going to the house of her friend. Seeing her alone, Vasant took her to the house of Pravin. According to the complaint, the 15-year-old boy and Pravin tied her legs and Vasant raped her. They also threatened her of dire consequences if she narrated the incident to her parents. The survivor, however, told her parents about the incident.
